I gave birth to my son here in March and I had the most phenomenal nurses. Huge shout out to Ainsley who was so compassionate and attentive. I had a long and intense labor and we were told that we would most likely have to do a c section. Ainsley listened to my concerns, went out and got the charge nurse and they both came in and flipped me every which way to get my baby to drop. Those two are the reason I was able to have a natural birth and I am so appreciative of them every single day. I unfortunately couldn’t remember the name of the charge nurse cause at that point I was so out of it but she later came in and checked on all of us in recovery. I hope they both get the recognition they deserve because the two of them made this the best possible experience for me and my family and we are so thankful to have had them there.

Currently staying here after a motorcycle accident. Staff are mostly kind but just never available. They are constantly busy, never available for emergencies or even small issues. My health is only declining the longer I stay. So glad I'm getting discharged soon. Honestly feel like I wouldn't make it the longer I stayed.

L&D: God bless nurse Desiree in the mother-baby section. Her level of compassion and professionalism is unmatched. I will probably remember her for the rest of my life. (She is 10/5 stars, the review stars don’t apply to her). One practice that needs to be changed is constant visits for vitals. Mother’s and baby’s vitals are taken 4 (or 6?) times a day AT DIFFERENT TIMES. At night it looks like you just receive a visit from a technician for baby’s vitals, feed the baby, get them to sleep, and maybe get an hour before the next visit for mother’s vitals! If you take medication, that’s a separate visit and walking. At the same time they tell you to rest and sleep. How? You are making it practically impossible. At some point it felt like your goal is to drive me insane. No surprise parents want to get out of here after 24 hours, refusing to stay longer.

I am posting this review so others are aware of Wellstar's billing practices before using Its services. On December 22, 2025, I attended a medical appointment that had taken four months to secure. I want to be clear that the staff were helpful and capable — my one-star rating is solely due to issues with the billing department. During the four months leading up to my appointment, I was contacted by the billing department via email to pay the bill before my physician's visit. At no point during any interaction was I informed that an Assessment and Management fee would be applied to my visit. Had I been told prior to the visit, I would have canceled the appointment. My visit consisted of checking in, asking for directions, being weighed, and having my blood pressure taken before seeing the doctor. I was therefore unable to justify a facilities charge of $693.50, as I did not receive any services that warranted that cost. I had to request an itemized bill and then contact both Wellstar and my insurance provider on multiple occasions to dispute the charge. My Review of Wellstar Augusta (Specifically the Labor & Delivery Portion of the Hospital) Date of Experience: 27/28 Feb 2026 Overall Rating: 6/5 My wife and I had our daughter at Wellstar recently and the service was beyond phenomenal. The care we received was perfect and we are extremely grateful for the doctors, staff, and care team both during labor and postpartum. We were a bit nervous at first due to an initial bad impression of the facility (use to using Doctor's hospital for labor and delivery) but man were we blown away by the care we received at Wellstar! Pros: -The people are the greatest asset in the L&D department. From the time we arrived to the time we left, they were loving on us and providing top notch care. Our triage nurse, Mrs. Leslie B was the best!! She did not leave our side and went above and beyond to help us. We arrived there 'early' in labor and so after our initial check-in just walked around the floor for about an hour; during that time she was still checking on us constantly. -The doctors and labor team was very respectful of our labor plan. We desired to have a natural birth without ANY meds and they respected all of our wishes without much pushback.
